Government Relations Committee
Help advocate for the veterinary profession in Delaware by joining the Government Relations Committee (GRC). The committee meets virtually 5 times a year and hosts a legislative reception in the spring.
The Awards Committee helps spread the word among members about the annual awards and also helps select award winners. Awards are presented during lunch at the Annual Winter Conference.
Help shape education in Delaware by selecting speakers and topics for DVMA’s annual conferences. The committee meets virtually 2 times a year.
This committee is committed to advancing diversity, equality and inclusion in veterinary medicine through various initiatives and educational opportunities. The committee meets virtually every other month.
Make a difference in the lives of veterinary students by helping to select winners for the annual student scholarship.
Do you have a passion for writing or enjoy selecting helpful content to help practitioners in Delaware? The editor will assist the Executive Director in creating or compiling content for the bi-annual printed newsletters and monthly Member Alert e-newsletters.
County Representatives serve on the DVMA Executive Board, representing members from New Castle, Kent, and Sussex Counties. Two representatives from each county serve a 2-year term.
Several opportunities exist to serve on the DVMA Executive Board. A Vice President is elected annually in November for the upcoming year and rotates through positions of Vice President, President-Elect, and President. Additional positions on the Board include Secretary/Treasurer (3-year term) and AVMA Delegate & Alternate Delegate (each a 4-year term).
