Veterinary Technician of the Year Award

Criteria for Veterinary Technician of the Year are as follows:


  • Member in good standing of the DVMA
  • Of sound and moral character
  • Licensed to practice in the State of Delaware
  • Outstanding achievement in veterinary technology


DEADLINE FOR NOMINATIONS: OCTOBER 1

Award recipients will be notified by email in mid-October. Awards will be presented during the DVMA Winter Conference luncheon on November 8, 12:00-1:30 pm at Bally’s Dover Casino & Resort in Dover, DE.

Lisa Garrison, LVT


The 2023 Veterinary Technician of the Year Award was presented to Lisa Garrison in recognition of her dedication to the growth of the veterinary technician profession in Delaware. Her knowledge and compassion have touched countless individuals through the Veterinary Technology Program at Delaware Technical Community College.
